GDPR… Another Anniversary

Where have the last 4 years disappeared to? Remember back to May 2018 when everyone was bombarding us for consent to continue to email newsletters? So much has happened in the world of Data Privacy since then – we even have our own UK version of the GDPR.

In the intervening period, we’ve lost count of the number of privacy policies that have been written, and subject access requests supported. We’ve tracked those changes (IDTA – International Data Transfer Agreement, the latest acronym), the outcomes of key cases (Schrems II and the demise of Privacy Shield, Lloyd vs Google and others) and responded to consultations from the ICO. We are now expecting further changes following the announcement in this month’s Queens Speech of the government’s intention to review the UK privacy legislation.

Join us on June 23rd for the latest updates from our Privacy geeks, on what they’ve seen over the last few months, and a glimpse of what we may see in the future.
